The Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation in Lviv: Never Again

Today, May 8, commemorative events on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation took place throughout the country. Our photojournalist visited Lviv, where the authorities of the city and region, together with representatives of the public and the clergy, laid flowers and lit candles near the memorable cross on the place where the concentration camp “Stalag-328” had been situated. During this day, the “Memorial Wreath” event took place, during which the participants decorated the crown thorns with red poppies, paying tribute not only to those who had died on the battlefield but also to the victims of the camps. All these actions across the country are united by two, perhaps most eloquent words: never again.
