According to the assistant to the president of the Russian Federation, Yuri Ushakov, there is no reaction to Putin’s proposal for a referendum on the Donbass, Russian media “Izvestia” reports.

The referendum on Donbass has become one of the topics that the leaders of Russia and the United States discussed during the recent summit in the capital of Finland. In response, the US president proposed not to publicly disclose the proposal of the Russian leader to consider it. Putin’s suggestion was about holding a vote by the inhabitants of the occupied territories regarding their status with the participation of the international community. “This proposal was discussed, while there is no reaction,” Ushakov said.
