The European Court of Human Rights has ruled on safeguard measures against the illegally sentenced Ukrainian film director Oleg Sentsov, who is starving to release all Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia. This is stated in the press release of the court, according to 112 Ukraine.

“The court decides to provide medical care for Oleg Sentsov and urges him to stop hunger,” the report said. The court urged Russia to grant Sentsov appropriate treatment, and the director himself offered to take treatment in order to save his life. It is noted that, in accordance with paragraph 39 of the provisions of the Court, the ECtHR has the right to indicate to any signatory state of the European Convention on Human Rights temporary measures that should be implemented without delay.
