The European Union imposed sanctions on six companies that took part in the construction of the Kerch Bridge. It is reported by Interfax-Ukraine, referring to the decision of July 30, published in the official EU magazine.
According to the document, since July 31, under the European sanctions, there are two companies Arcadiy Rothenberg – PJSC Mostotrest (MOEX: MSTT) and LLC “Strojgazmontazh”. These companies have already been included in the American sanctions list. Also under the EU sanctions were JSC “Institute Giprostroymost – St. Petersburg”, JSC Shipbuilding Plant Zaliv, LLC “Stroigazmontazh-Bridge”, Vologda JSC “VAD”. The motive behind the decision to impose sanctions is that the construction of the bridge and its official opening in May this year were “key symbolic steps in Russia’s consolidation of control over illegally annexed Crimea and Sevastopol and the further isolation of the peninsula from Ukraine.”
