In Russia, the legislation entered into force, according to which in the annexed Crimea the Ukrainian licenses for the use of subsoil cease to operate, as well as a new registration procedure is introduced. According to TASS, the right to use subsoil areas located in the Black and Azov Seas will be provided by a decision of the Government of the Russian Federation, adopted on the results of the auction.
The law states that all Ukrainian licenses issued before the annexation of the Crimea in 2014 will be considered invalid.
“Now the RF Government will decide on the auctions for each subsoil on the shelf of the Azov and Black Seas, the definition of the procedure and conditions for their conduct, as well as the composition and operation of auction commissions,” the statement said. It is noted that the new law sets the same rules for granting licenses in the occupied Crimea, which already act throughout Russia.
