The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends the adoption of a bill to strengthen liability for neglect of safety belts and motorcycles. Such a decision was made at the meeting of the committee, the press service of the parliament reports, Ukrinform writes.
“The bill proposes to amend Section 5 of Article 121 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and increase administrative liability for violating the rules of using seat belts and motorcycles from 51 hryvnias to 850 hryvnias,” the report said.

According to these indicators of accidents and the consequences of road accidents, Ukraine is one of the leaders among the European countries,” the Verkhovna Rada emphasized.
