UN experts have ranked Ukraine 88th in the Human Development Index (HDI) among 189 countries where the situation was evaluated by a number of parameters of the quality of human life, Ukrinform reports.
The document was published on the official website of the United Nations Development Program. The Human Development Index in Ukraine is set at 0.751. For comparison, top-ranked Norway has an index of 0.953, whereas Switzerland and Australia (second and third) have 0.944 and 0.939 respectively. The top ten also includes Ireland, Germany, Iceland, Hong Kong, Sweden, Singapore, and the Netherlands.
