During a working visit to Ukraine, the British delegation headed by Secretary of State for Defense of Great Britain Gavin Williamson visited the area of Joint Forces Operation, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
“Williamson has been on the cutting edge of the defence, where he personally spoke with the soldiers of the Joint Forces. Most of all, the British guest is acknowledged, he was impressed by the resilience and courage of the Ukrainian soldiers who faced one of the most aggressive armies in the world”, the statement reads.
Gavin Williamson also met with the commander of the combined forces Lieutenant-General Serhii Nayev.
“Nayev informed Williamson of measures taken by the Joint Forces to repress Russia’s aggression and stabilize the situation on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, with specific facts of the use of Russian-made weapons against the military units that carry out hostilities in the east of Ukraine,” noted at the headquarters.
The British minister stressed that London will continue to help Ukraine and fully support it.
