In Kyiv, until 2024, they intend to ban the movement of shuttle minibusses, this is provided for by the decision of the city council, adopted today, the press service of the Kyiv City Council reports. On October 2, the deputies supported the decision to develop an urban integrated target program for the development of transport services for the population and road safety in 2019-2024, 112 reports.
The document intends to provide for a radical reform of the public transport system of the capital, in particular, to remove the minibusses, update the fleet of buses, trams, and trolleybuses. In the Kyiv City Council, they emphasized that now 40 % of the capital’s minibusses ply illegally, and there is no effective control over their work. This problem is designed to solve the target program.
Within six months from the moment of the promulgation of today’s decision, the transport department of the Kyiv should develop a document to improve the organization and ensure road safety for 2019-2024.
