Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada has recommended the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) to impose sanctions against companies included in the holdings of the 112 Ukraine and NewsOne TV channels, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
Sanctions proposed by the corresponding resolution (No. 9157) was approved by 229 MPs during a plenary session on Thursday.
“The abovementioned persons are directly related to lobbying the interests of the aggressor state – Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, including the spread of destructive propaganda and its influence through abovementioned media,” the explanatory memorandum says.
