The Verkhovna Rada proposes to initiate personal sanctions for six singers who are known in Russia and one film director, reports Ukrainska Pravda.

The group of deputies in the draft resolution number 9156 proposes to deprive Ukrainian singers Taisiya Povaliy and Ani Lorak of the titles of folk artists, and Svitlana Loboda and Vitaliy Kozlovsky – the titles of honored artists of Ukraine. In addition, it is proposed to deprive the “People’s Artist of Ukraine” of Russian singers Philip Kirkorov and Nikolay Baskov, as well as Russian film director, writer and producer Vladimir Bortko. The reason for this step is the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine, the promotion and financing of terrorist activity in Ukraine, which has led to the violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the rights and freedoms of its citizens, the temporary occupation of the territory.
