Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin described the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) as “splitters” because of the rupture of relations with the Constantinople Patriarchate. He wrote about this in his Twitter account, reports UNIAN.
“The Russian Orthodox Church has decided to break the Eucharistic communion with the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which, on the basis of true historical and canonical documents, proved that Ukraine is its canonical territory. Does someone still have doubts who is a schismatic in world Orthodoxy?”, he wrote.
Earlier, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church ROC decided to break the relations with the Constantinople Patriarchate. This was done in response to the decision of Constantinople to grant autocephaly to the UOC.
