The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) plans to launch in 2019 in Ukraine a bioenergy program of 70-80 million euros, within which 10-15 projects will be financed, reports Hromadske.

“Realizing that solar and wind energy are developing well, we concentrated our attention, first of all, on bioenergy. And here we are talking not only about bioenergy stations but about the whole chain – from the field to the final consumer. Ukraine as an agrarian country has large production balances, but now they remain in the fields, and therefore we are working on this project”, said the director of the department of energy efficiency and climate change of the EBRD Sergey Maslichenko.
