Ukraine ranks 83rd in the annual Global Competitiveness Index compiled by experts from the World Economic Forum (WEF). In total, the rating analyzes the situation in 140 countries. Near Ukraine in the ranking – the Dominican Republic and Macedonia, reports Radio Liberty.
The first place in the ranking for the first time in a decade is the United States. The first five are also: Singapore, Germany, Switzerland, Japan. The last place in the ranking is Chad. The WEF rating is based on country benchmarking for 12 core criteria, which generally contain around 100 positions. For each of them, the country can get 0 to 100 points. In the last year’s rating, Ukraine ranked 81place.
