The opening ceremony of the Holodomor victims memorial took place in the Canadian city of Toronto. The director of the Canadian program at the Embassy of Canada in Ukraine, Karim Morcos, announced this on his Twitter page, writes UNIAN.

“During a touching ceremony, a memorial to the victims of the Holodomor was officially opened in Toronto today. Mr Nikolai Latvian, who survived the Holodomor and emigrated to Canada, told those present:” as Christians, we know how to forgive, but we must not forget”, wrote Morcos.
