In the European Parliament, they announce the inadmissibility of Russia’s aggressive actions in the Azov Sea, which could lead to an escalation of the new conflict in Europe, and call for additional sanctions against the Kremlin. It is reported by Ukrinform.

The overwhelming majority of the debate in the European Parliament, discussing the situation in the Azov Sea on Tuesday, expressed the view that Russia’s actions are unacceptable. “Russia’s violation of international law is not a new fact, but an attempt to annex the Azov Sea and a partial blockade of Ukrainian ports is another serious challenge that aggravates the European regime on the seas, which is obviously more serious than trade and economic issues in Azov, may gradually become a new conflict”, said Sandra Kalnite, MP on behalf of the political party of the European People’s Party.
