According to the results of the first half of 2018, information technology services surpassed pipeline transport and became the second largest export service industry, accounting for more than 20% of all exports, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
This is stated in the results of the research of experts of the Association “IT Ukraine” and the Office of Effective Regulation (BRDO).
In particular, the market assessment was made, the paid taxes and expenses of IT companies were analyzed, and the personal capital of the industry was determined.
According to data received from the State Fiscal Service, the amount of taxes paid by IT companies in 2014-2017 has grown by 27% annually and has now reached UAH 4.1 billion. In 2018, this trend continues.
Also, a significant number of IT professionals work with companies on a contractual basis as sole proprietors and pay a single tax on their own. The volume of its revenues grew by an average of 58.8% during 2013-2017 and amounted to UAH 3.2 billion in 2017.
