The Russian Federation continues to prepare military infrastructure in the occupied Crimea for the deployment of nuclear weapons. This was stated by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko at a meeting of the UN Security Council, UNIAN reported.
“Active militarization in the occupied Crimea is in full swing. Russia more than doubled its military forces on the peninsula and continues to prepare the Crimean military infrastructure for the deployment of nuclear weapons, including re-equipment of Soviet nuclear ammunition storage facilities,” the ambassador said. He also added that Russia uses the Sea of Azov as an additional channel for supplying arms to its forces in the Donbas from the occupied territory of the Crimea.
