The Verkhovna Rada decided to create a temporary investigation commission to investigate the attacks on the adviser of the Kherson Mayor Kateryna Gandzyuk and other public activists. The decision was supported by 259 deputies at a meeting on November 6, reports Ukrainska Pravda.
The commission will consist of 18 people’s deputies. The non-fractional people’s deputy Borislav Bereza will be the chairman of the commission, and the deputy will be the people’s deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc fraction, Sergei Alekseev. The commission’s validity period is three months from the date of its approval. The commission must verify the progress of the investigation by law enforcement officers of the attacks on Gandzyuk and other public activists.
