In the Odessa region, the married couple kept 94 people in slavery at an agricultural enterprise. This was announced by the head of the National Police Sergiy Knyazev on his Facebook page, Hromadske writes.
According to him, the married couple created an enterprise in the Odesa Oblast, in which 94 people worked for free for a few years.
They got there by deception, points out Knyazev. Recruiters were looking for “unprotected”, promised work and brought to the enterprise.
“People were tricked into working by special recruiters. Pseudo-recruiting was conducted mainly on railways. They were looking for socially unprotected people, promised to work, a stable salary of 450-500 UAH per day, housing and food. The geography of the victims search covered 22 regions and Kyiv. For each delivered “slave”, the recruiters received UAH 500 for one day”, wrote the head of the National Police.
Further, he said, people took documents and telephones, forced to work for free 13 hours in the field.
