The police urge drivers who are not customs-cleared to unblock the roads and hold protest actions within the legal framework, without violating the rights of other citizens. It is reported by the press service of the National Police on Wednesday, writes Ukrainska Pravda.

“Law enforcement measures will be taken against the perpetrators if further attempts to block traffic will take place”, the report said. It is noted that on Wednesday, the police have already opened and investigated 5 criminal proceedings on the fact of blocking traffic under Article 279 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for penalties in the form of a fine, correctional work, arrest and imprisonment. Such measurements are taken against blocking of roads in Rivne, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and Zhytomyr regions. At the same time, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, in his Twitter account, states that “liberal loyalty to drivers on euro-meters ended when they started protesting, violating the rights of others.”
