President Petro Poroshenko submitted to the Council a bill on the renaming of the Dnipropetrovsk region to Dnipro region, reports Hromadske.

“The procedure for changing the name of the region provides for amendments to the Constitution. The analysis shows that more than three hundred deputies will vote for the Dnipro region. Need not a PR, but a result – that is, the final completion of de-communization. Dnipropetrovsk region will become the Dnipro region, and Petrovskii’s place will be on the rubbish of history,” Poroshenko said.

It will be recalled that on November 20, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada did not support the renaming of the Dnipropetrovsk region in Sicheslavsk region. For the new name, 207 deputies voted in favor of 226 minimum necessary. At the same time, the Council supported the renaming of the Kirovograd region in Kropivnitskyi region.
