At a meeting of the Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate on November 27-29, a decision will be made to approve Tomos for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This was stated by President Petro Poroshenko at a meeting with students of the Kyiv National Trade and Economic University, Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“November 27-29, Rostyslav Pavlenko (advisor to the President – ed.) moves to Istanbul (Constantinople) in order to take part in the historic Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, where a decision will be made to approve Tomos,” the head of state said.

He also reminded that in December the Sobor of the new, autocephalous Ukrainian Orthodox Church will be gathered.
