President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg agreed on the urgent convening of the extraordinary meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission. The press secretary of the head of state Svyatoslav Tsegolko reports on such results of the telephone conversation on November 26, Ukrainska Pravda writes.
“The President of Ukraine and the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance have discussed threats to regional security as a result of Russia’s unpredictable actions. Poroshenko and Stoltenberg agreed to urgently convene an extraordinary meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission through the aggression of Russia,” the statement said.
It is noted that Poroshenko informed about the brutal act of Russian aggression against Ukraine in the Sea of Azov area and the actions of Ukraine in response, including the introduction of a regime of martial law.
The president called for increased international pressure on Russia for the immediate release of Ukrainian sailors and ships.
