Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he had discussed with President Vladimir Putin the possible mediation of Ankara in resolving the conflict that occurred in the Kerch Strait, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“During the conversation with Putin, the problem of the incident in the Kerch Strait was discussed, including the question of our role as an intermediary,” Erdogan said.

He added that the discussion of the problem plans to continue on the meeting at the summit.

Poroshenko and Erdogan agreed that the Turkish president will raise the Ukrainian issue in Buenos Aires at the G20 summit, which will be held from November 30 to December 1.
