Ukraine restricted the entry of Russian males from 16 to 60 years old. This was stated by President Petro Poroshenko. Exceptions will be humanitarian cases, which will be clearly outlined in the instructions, Hromadske writes.
“Ukraine has introduced restrictions on the entry of Russian male citizens aged between 16 and 60, so that Russia does not form in Ukraine units of “private” armies, which in fact are representatives of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. It is made in order to prevent Russians from carrying out operations in Ukraine that they planned in 2014,” President Poroshenko said.
An exception to the entry of men with Russian citizenship may be a humanitarian purpose, such as a funeral.
