NATO will closely monitor the situation in the Black Sea and increase its military presence in the region. This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference in Brussels, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

“NATO has increased its presence in the Black Sea region, last year we increased the presence of NATO ships in the Black Sea from 80 to 120 days, we have an air policing mission in the region, and we also have a multinational brigade in Romania,” Stoltenberg said.

The secretary also emphasized that the Alliance continues to support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and provides political and practical support.
