The European Commission will send a special mission to assess the impact of Russian aggression on the economic and social situation in the Azov Sea – it will arrive on January 28-29 in Mariupol, Hromadske reports.

The group will consider the assistance projects to the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Recall that in September 2018, President Petro Poroshenko stated that Ukraine, Germany, France and the United States are “almost ready” to submit to the UN Security Council a draft resolution on the introduction of peacekeepers to Donbas.

Earlier, the US State Department spokesman for Ukraine, Kurt Volker, said that Sweden, Finland, Austria, Belarus, Serbia, and Turkey had already stated their readiness to participate in the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbas.
