In February 2019, the number of Ukrainians who think good or very good of Russia has increased by 9 % and is 57 % now. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
“In Ukraine, in February 2019, 57 % of Ukrainians responded, think good or very good of Russia, 27% – bad or highly badly, 17 % haven’t decided yet, while 77 % of Ukrainians have a positive attitude to Russians (the citizens of Russia), 13 % – to the leadership of Russia (mainly on the territories of the East and Donbas),” the message said.
It is noted that a positive attitude towards Russia is due mainly to a positive attitude towards the citizens of this country. It is also reported that for the entire period of observations (from 2008 to 2019), Ukrainians thought better of Russia than Russians of Ukraine.
