British Broadcasting Corporation BBC apologized and agreed to pay compensation to President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko for the material that Poroshenko had allegedly paid for his meeting with US President Donald Trump. This is reported by BBC News Ukraine.
“The excuse concerns the incorrect material, which said that the party of Petro Poroshenko paid the money in order to make his meeting with Donald Trump longer,” the statement said. It is also noted that such information was announced on the BBC television program. The media didn’t specify the amount of compensation.
Recall that on February 8, PressGazette reported that the London court during the preliminary hearing of the case recognized the material of BBC as lopsided. The article said that intermediaries of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko paid at least 400 thousand dollars for their first meeting with American president Donald Trump.
