During the last election day, March 30, law enforcement agencies registered almost five hundred violations, including the facts of banned agitation.
In total, law enforcement officers received reports of 5266 violations of electoral law during the election campaign. This was announced by the advisor to the Interior Minister Ivan Varchenko during a briefing, reports UNN. According to him, the day of silence brought “the biggest results” by the number of violations.
“For the entire duration of the election campaign, we received reports of 5266 violations of the electoral law. Of these, almost 456 messages – during yesterday’s ‘day of silence’,” said Varchenko.
Also, Varchenko stressed that candidates who exhibited certain symbols on a day of silence may receive sanctions in the form of a fine of 1300 hryvnias.
