The top candidates for the presidency have already made their choice: Poroshenko assured that he had voted for Ukraine, and Tymoshenko boasted about her good mood, while Zelensky voted for a “very worthy and dignified man”. How it was – in a photo report from Opinion.
Petro Poroshenko came to the polling station with his family and to the question of the journalists he answered that he voted for Ukraine. The incumbent president positively assessed the organization of elections, assuring that the expression of will must be preserved.
“This is a mandatory requirement for our way forward, for returning Ukraine to the European cradle, to our membership in the EU and NATO, for extremely important reforms which are fateful for Ukraine,” the president stressed.
The leader of “Batkivshchyna” party appeared at the polling station one of the first, but she ignored most of the questions. As our reporter in Kyiv said, Yulia Tymoshenko commented only on her good mood.
“Today my family and I came to make our choice. I believe that we all make a step towards the blooming European country,” Tymoshenko said.
The leader of the social surveys, Volodymyr Zenesky, also used his right to vote. He assured that he voted for “a worthy person”, the showman added that “the new life begins”.
At the same time, the candidate stressed the final decision will be made by the country, playfully adding that… his only candidacy can get to the second round.
As Opinion has already reported, other candidates also took part in the presidential elections. In particular, Oleksandr Vilkul and Yuriy Boyko. Anatoliy Hrytsenko also has voted, hower his wife wasn’t found on the list of voters.
