Oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky claimed that he doesn’t intend to return his nationalized “Privatbank”, but wants to return $ 2 billion capital. He said this in an interview with the Ukrainska Pravda, answering the question of whether he is planning to file new claims for compensation.
“I do not need Privatbank, but there were two billion dollars of capital. Just return them, and there are no questions,” said Kolomoisky.
He added, if the court finds that something was wrongly or illegally made during the nationalization, “we will somehow come to terms, decide or sue.”
Recall that in December 2016, the Ukrainian government on the proposal of the National Bank and shareholders of Privatbank, the largest of which at that time were Ihor Kolomoisky and Gennadiy Bogolyubov, decided to privatize Privatbank. The bank has become state-owned, and the state has spent more than 155 billion hryvnias on its pre-capitalization.
