Representatives of presidential candidates Petro Poroshenko and Volodymyr Zelensky met at the Olympiysky Stadium, but couldn’t reach agreement on the debate. As the Channel 5 reports, the meeting was closed, although at first the presence of journalists was planned.
Representatives of the headquarters communicated about 20 minutes – and when they left, they said that they had not agreed.
A representative of the current president Artur Herasimov said that Poroshenko insists on meeting at the stadium on April 14 at 14:14 or in the interim dates between the 14th and 19th, and on April 19, he will go to the debate at the Suspilne.
A head of Zelensky headquarters Ivan Bakanov said that Zelensky will come to the debate exclusively on April 19 and exclusively to the stadium – however, he’s ready to get in touch with the studio of Suspilne via video-link.
Since the key consensus hasn’t been reached, neither the format nor the price nor the technical issues were discussed on Thursday, April 11.
