In the near future, 25 adults and 5 children whose illnesses are currently not treated in Ukraine will receive the necessary treatment abroad at public expense.
As reported by the Ministry of Health, such a decision was made by the referral commission for treatment abroad on April 11.
So, 11 patients, including three children, were sent to foreign clinics for bone marrow transplantation. Another 19 patients, including two children, are for organ transplantation. From the budget for their treatment will spend about 76 million hryvnias.
The Ministry of Health reminded that according to the program “Treatment of Ukrainian citizens abroad” foreign clinics mostly receive patients with oncohematological, oncological, neurosurgical, cardiosurgical diseases and congenital anomalies of development, in case of impossibility of their treatment in Ukraine.
In February, it was reported that 31 people would be sent abroad for transplantation of organs and bone marrow.
