The Supreme Court of Ukraine reversed the decision to terminate the appeal proceedings in the case of the transfer to the state of real estate owned by the JSC Odessa Oil Refinery.

The Supreme Court satisfied the complaint of the Cyprus company “Empson Limited”, which owns a 99.57% stake in the oil refinery. This company is associated with businessman Serhiy Kurchenko, who left the territory of Ukraine.

On November 13, 2015, the court satisfied the complaint of the prosecutor to transfer for storage physical evidence in one of the criminal cases against Kurchenko. The plant was transferred to the storage and management of the state enterprise Ukrtransnaftoprodukt.

Earlier, the Kyiv District Administrative Court upheld the Cabinet of Ministers dated September 13, 2017, No. 632-p on the transfer of the property complexes of the Odesa Oil Refinery to the management of the State Property Fund.
