During the elections of the President of Ukraine about 3,5 thousand inhabitants of temporarily occupied Crimea, including those who live in mainland Ukraine, have voted in the run-off. The leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev told that.

“In order to vote people have to leave the territory twice: to register and then to vote. Huge queues. As well as great risks… Therefore, we don’t expect a large number of voters from the occupied Crimea <…> I know the statistics: some 3,500 people from the Crimea, including those who reside here (in mainland Ukraine)… I think, some 700-800 people have left the Crimea to vote,” said Dzhemilev.
