The incumbent president and candidate Petro Poroshenko commented on the results of the national exit poll, according to which he gained only 25%, while Volodymyr Zelensky – 73%.
Before the start of the press conference, Petro Poroshenko thanked his team, shook hands with his fellow members and congratulated journalists. “Never give up, if it doesn’t go against honour and common sense. It’s Churchill’s words which guided me when I received from Yanukovych a looted Ukraine. The leaders called not to congratulate with the victory, but to express their sympathy. No country has faced such a challenge. Then there were fewer eagers to become the president,” Petro Poroshenko said.
