The Kremlin has refused to congratulate Volodymyr Zelensky on victory in the presidential election. This was stated by the representative of the Kremlin and the spokesman of Vladimir Putin, Dmytro Peskov, writes Meduza.
He added that the legitimacy of these elections is doubtful because Ukraine did not give the opportunity to vote “three million Ukrainians in Russia”.
“It is too early to talk about President Putin’s greetings to Mr Zelensky, and the opportunity to work together. One can draw conclusions only on specific deeds,” Peskov said.
Recall that Volodymyr Zelensky won the second round of the presidential election in Ukraine. He gained more than 73 %, Poroshenko – less than 25 %.
