Attorney General Yuriy Lutsenko assures that law enforcement officers are ready to meet ex-President Viktor Yanukovych in Ukraine with a court verdict and accusations of organizing shootings of EuroMaidan activists in 2014. Lutsenko reported this on his Facebook on April 24.
“I rejoice at Yanukovych’s intentions to return to Ukraine, where not only a verdict for high treason is waiting for him but also a ready-made indictment for organizing Maidan’s shooting,” writes Lutsenko.
He reminds that the Verkhovna Rada has not voted for the extension of the right of correspondence proceedings twice. “Therefore, we are looking forward to Yanukovych’s arrival with convoy and handcuffs,” he concludes.
