The Ukrainian authorities haven’t done all necessary to ensure a full investigation of the mass riots in Odesa on May 2, 2014, which took the lives of 48 people.

Such a statement was made in the United Nations Monitoring Mission on Human Rights in Ukraine.

“The mission notes with concern that the authorities haven’t done all necessary to ensure an immediate, independent and impartial investigation into the killings and violent deaths that took place on 2 May 2014 and the appropriate criminal prosecution for these actions,” the statement said.

The UN noted that, in the 5 years since the tragedy, virtually no one was brought to justice.
