From May 1, militaries in Joint Forces Operations will receive salaries increased by 1 thousand hryvnias, militaries on the demarcation line – by 5 thousand hryvnias. The corresponding decree was signed by the Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported on May 8.
“Thus, the minimum monetary support for a contracted serviceman involved in Joint Force Operation will be on the first line – 27.3 thousand hryvnias, in other areas of the operation – 16.8 thousand hryvnias,” the message said.
The commander of the platoon on the first line from May 1 will receive from 31.1 thousand hryvnias, in other areas – from 20.6 thousand hryvnias, commander of the battalion on the first line – from 35.5 thousand hryvnias, in other areas – 25 thousand hryvnia.
“The commander of the brigade performing tasks on the battle line will receive a minimum amount of cash in the amount of 42 thousand hryvnias, and in other areas of the operation – 31.5 thousand hryvnias,” the Ministry of Defense added.
It is noted that the increase takes place “in a planned manner” within the limits of funds allocated in the state budget for the maintenance of the Armed Forces.
