The Verkhovna Rada rejected four draft resolutions on the abolition of the Parliament’s decision to adopt the law of Ukraine as a whole on the functioning of the Ukrainian as a state language.
Thus, the barriers to signing this law were removed and the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy signed the relevant document.
Thus, during the consideration of the parliament, there were four decrees on the abolition of the law on language, which were filed by representatives of the “Opposition bloc”. So, only 34 deputies voted for the resolution, out of a necessary 226. After that, Parubiy stated that the way to signing the law is open.
Recall that on April 25, people’s deputies adopted the Law № 5670-d “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian as a state language”, which began to be considered in the second reading on February 28.
