In the first two months of 2019, more than 70% of cases of measles in Europe were recorded in Ukraine. These figures were recorded by the World Health Organization. WHO notes that in January-February 2019, 42 countries recorded 34 300 cases of measles.

13 patients (i.e. 0.04% of the total number of cases) have died. All deaths fall into three countries – Ukraine, Albania and Romania.

In Ukraine, more than 70% of all cases of measles in Europe have been detected in Ukraine for a specified period of time.
