The Verkhovna Rada Regular Committee considered seven draft resolutions on the date of the inauguration of the President-elect, Volodymyr Zelensky, and recommended that VR vote for each of them. The decision was made by the committee at a meeting on May 15.
In general, it was suggested to hold the inauguration of Zelensky starting from May 17 and until the end of the month.
Among the deputies who registered the draft resolutions on the inauguration were Serhiy Mishchenko (May 19), Viktor Baloga (May 19), Vitaliy Kupriy (May 20 and 26), Serhiy Kaplin (May 19), Volodymyr Kurinnyi (May 17).
Now the Verkhovna Rada must vote for or again the given resolutions.
If none of the proposed resolutions will receive the required number of votes, then the decision on the date of the inauguration may be approved by the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubiy.
