Honorary Patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Filaret said that there were no grounds to take back Tomos of Autocephaly. He said this in an interview to Radio Liberty.
In his opinion, the existence of the Kyivan Patriarchate within Ukraine doesn’t violate the terms of Tomos.
“Because the representative of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, Emmanuel, said that we are now the part of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, and when we received the Tomos of autocephaly the Church became autocephalous, independent and therefore we can do whatever we want. What do we want? We want to unite Ukrainian Orthodoxy in one church,” Filaret said.
He also added that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church doesn’t claim to recognize the patriarchy “outside of Ukraine”.
