Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said he decided to resign. This was said on Monday briefing, May 20.
“Today, the president of Ukraine took his oath of office. During his inaugural speech, he said that the government should step down. I think you understand that the government steps down to the newly elected Verkhovna Rada, not to the President-elect,” the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
He stressed that the country was a priority for him and thanked everyone for the joint work and expressed his conviction that in the new parliament, together with like-minded people, will form a professional team, which will jointly make changes in Ukraine.
