More than 50 deputies from different factions registered in the Verkhovna Rada a bill number 10313, which envisages the legalization of medical cannabis sales.
The bill was developed for the implementation of the relevant petition for the legalization of medical cannabis. It was registered on the Rada’s website on January 30, 2019.
The Ukrainian Medical Cannabis Association believes that the lack of access to marijuana “violates the constitutional right of about 2 million citizens to life and access to effective treatment.”
Petition requires the regulation of patients’ access to cannabis drugs in the treatment of chronic pains, epilepsy, anorexia, posttraumatic syndrome, immune system diseases, arthritis and rheumatism, asthma, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Gettington’s chorea, herpes, ulcers, weight loss during AIDS, diabetic neuropathy, various forms of multiple sclerosis and many other serious illnesses.
