Vladimir Zelensky’s team doesn’t see Vladimir Putin’s pal, Viktor Medvedchuk, as a negotiator on the Ukrainian side in negotiations in Minsk on the war settlement in Donbas. This was stated on the air of “Pravo na Vladu” by the chief of the Presidential Administration Andriy Bohdan.
“We don’t see him as a negotiator from our side, but if Russia sees him as a negotiator from its side, it’s the matter of own choice,” Mr. Bohdan said. He also said that, according to his information, none of Zelensky’s team is on speaking terms with Medvedchuk. Medvedchuk himself had previously stated that it is virtually impossible to withdraw him from the negotiation process.
Even before the election victory, Volodymyr Zelensky’s team members said that the showman planned to invite the United Kingdom and the United States to participate in negotiations in the Normandy format, while Viktor Medvedchuk will lose the mediator role in negotiations with Russia.
