President Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on the impeachment of the president. This was announced at a briefing on May 29 by Ruslan Stefanchuk, a representative of the president in Parliament.
“President Zelensky, today, handed over to the Verkhovna Rada a draft law on a special procedure – president’s dismissal, i.e. impeachment,” Stefanchuk said.
Stefanchuk reminded that in the Parliament, there is also a draft law on the cancelling parliamentary immunity and it would be best to decide on it. “Together with this legislative act, the president again addressed the Parliament in order to ensure that the Council does not forget that there is the draft law 7203, which cancels parliamentary immunity,” added Stefanchuk.
